Gene, the non-side air bag Prius has the same seats and rails. I don't think Toyota makes a Prius without side air bags now, unless it's the base model, but the seat travel will be the same. There are posts on here about moving the seats back as well as on PriusChat. I believe people have moved them back a bit, but there is concerns about the sensors in the seat. Do a search here and on PriusChat (http://www.priuschat.com) for what others have done.

My knees are 3 or 4" from the dash after I recline the seats considerably so I think that is the key. I have long arms as well as long legs so I recline as far as I can and still comfortably reach the steering wheel. This also helps the much talked about lack of lumbar support. I would love to put in the recaro style seats out of my old Sentra S-ER but probably don't need them for cornering, ha, ha. I will have to take a long trip for a final evaluation. Actually my 1965 1/2 Volvo 122S had the most comfortable orthopedic seats I have ever owned as well as leg and head room. Those Swedes, now they are tall and used to know how to design a car. Smile
