Trying to insert a pdf that is 4KB, but dimensions are84 x83.
How to reduce it a little bit to be acceptable to 80 x 80?

I'm using a Mac Powerbook with OS 10.4.8

I usually use Paint to edit pictures like this. Paint now saves to JPG.

I didn't think you could use a PDF for an avatar.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
I am using a Mac and don't have a Paint program (not sure there is one for Mac).

I found a GraphicConverter program, at my son's suggestion, and was able to change the demensions to 80 & 79.

If the avatar shows up on this mail then it worked.
