I saw two on the road going home yesterday, and I'm not sure how to tell anyone about it :)

If we use our Latin based system it should be Prii. :D

Peace.

4th declension neuter adjective. Depending on who you ask, the Latin plural is either "prius" and you change the noun which is being modified to a plural, or the Latin plural is "priores". (Root of "prius" is "prior")

Toyota seems to indicate that "Prius" is both singular and plural, like "deer" or "sheep"

Some English speakers tend to like "Priuses" or "Prii"

Or, you could treat like an adjective, and say that you saw "two Prius cars."

Whatever. we all know what you mean. :)

Didn't we go all through this once before? I know I made a complete fool of myself, last time.

Where is our Latin expert at the Vatican -- He can put this to rest in a hurry -- Help!

We asked the Toyota executive in charge of the initial Prius rollout how his people refer to more than one Prius. His response was "Prius".

They use the same word for both. And since they named the vehicle, they are the ones that get the official say... though you can still refer to them the way you want.

I prefer "Prius" for plural. It has a stealth-like quality.

LOLOLOLOL!!!
funny thread... couldn't put it down at all
good banter,

latin has gender divisions for some plurals...Masculine for Prius would then be Prium....Feminine would be prieau(pronounced pre-ay)

I'm not a laguage educated person but have run this one by some collage tweeks and this was thier take truthfully.

Made sense to me

Well I'd say the "nav-lady-in-the-dashboard" rules out Prium.
